- Has anyone had any luck getting PC-NFS by SunSelect running over token
- ring without having to use NDIS drivers? I have been trying to install
- version 4.0 or 5.0 on a 386/40 with a 3-Com token ring card using IBM
- standard DXM drivers. The PC-NFS drivers seem to install ok without any error
- messages, and I get a "PC-NFS is installed" message, but when I try to do a
- NET INIT, I get a "PC-NFS is disabled - can't start network" error message.
-
- Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
-
- As a related side note....has anyone had any experience with a truly (no
- additional tsr's required) winsock NFS client?? I am trying to find such a
- beast, but have only been able to find "that's in our next release".
-
- thanks in advance

- Subject: Trumpet takes a long time to post
-
- When I use Trumpet to post to a newsgroup I get a modal dialog that tells me
-
- "Posting being sent - please wait a while".
-
- This seems to last forever. If I cancel the posting at this point Trumpet
- hangs and has to be aborted. The posting does go out however.
-
- I am not sure if the dialog box will eventually go away, but I have waited
- up to 3 minutes with no effect (a three minute lag per posting seems
- excessive :-).
-
- Has anyone else encountered this? Is this a problem with my local newshost?
